Quartet by Candlelight

Happy December, everyone! It feels particularly seasonal with snow on the ground here in Fredericton, and so we thought it was the perfect time to remind you that our holiday concert, Quartet by Candlelight is right around the corner, with the first show of the tour coming up in 10 days!

This is our most favourite, family-friendly event. Performed by candlelight, we play holiday classics and seasonal favourites - the full program coming your way early next week. In the spirit of the season, $5 from each ticket is donated to the local United Way (with the exception of folks in Florenceville-Bristol, where the donations will go towards the Carleton North Community Foundation).

Ticket sales are moving quickly (PS folks in Saint John — there are only 6 tickets remaining! If you haven’t picked up your tickets yet, you’ve been warned!).

This year we will be opening the doors slightly early so folks can have time to arrive and get settled: doors will open at 6:45PM, with the concerts starting at 7:30PM. We know it’s a busy season and it can be a late night for young ones, so there will be no intermission this year, and the run-time will be a roughly an hour.

In case you didn’t know, all of our venues are physically accessible, so all members of the family can attend! Wilmot United in Fredericton has a lift to the sanctuary, with access provided at the Carleton Street entrance off the main parking lot.

The Centre culturel Aberdeen in Moncton has wheelchair access at the Alma St. entrance, and an elevator that will take you to the second floor of the building where the concert is held.

The Saint John Arts Centre is accessible from the rear entrance of the building (off Carleton St.) with an elevator to access the main floor.

Second Wind Music Centre also has elevator access via the back parking lot of the building.

This information all lives on our FAQ page on our website, if you ever have any future questions! And if you can think of any other information that would be useful to know and should exist on our FAQ, please let us know!

In other news! Thank you to everyone who came out to our spft launch for più a few weeks back. It was a real treat to host Scions at Wilmot United Church - we can’t think of a better way to kick off this project. This will be the last time we chat about più here on this mailing list to keep things streamlined (unless the ECSQ is performing, of course!). If you’d like to stay in the loop about upcoming events we’re curating here in Fredericton, feel free to sign up for più’s mailing list!

Last thing!

Last year we had a lot of scammers selling fake tickets on Facebook. We did our best to keep on top of them, but as always, be wary! It was quite a feat keeping up with the bots (they don’t sleep like we do) so please - don’t be tempted to buy a ticket from someone on Facebook. If you have purchased a ticket and can no longer attend, reach out to us directly and we can reimburse you. If a show is sold out, this will allow us to open up the seat for another person who would like to buy a ticket!
